Selena Gomez delivered an emotional acceptance speech at the American Music Awards on Sunday, November 20. The awards show marked the “Hands to Myself” singer’s official post-rehab appearance.
In a teary acceptance speech for favorite pop/rock artist, Gomez urged fans to
take care of themselves as she opened up about her own struggles.
“In 2014 this stage was actually the first time I was authentically 100 percent honest with all of you,” Gomez, 24, told the crowd, looking stunning and vulnerable in a red Prada gown. “I think it’s safe to say most of you know a lot of my life whether I liked it or not. I had to stop because I had everything and I was absolutely broken
